Privacy

This page explains which data is processed when you visit sebastiendavid.ch, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

Hosting

The site and its data are hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva). No data is sold or passed on to third parties for advertising purposes.

Contact form

The data entered in the form (name, email address, subject, message) is used only to reply to you. It is kept for 12 months at most, then deleted automatically. To prevent abuse, a non-reversible fingerprint of your IP address is kept for 24 hours at most; the IP address itself is not stored.

Audience measurement

If you accept it (« Statistics » category), the site measures its traffic with a tool hosted on the same server, with no third-party service. The following is recorded: the page viewed, the language, the referring site (domain name only), the device type and the browser family. No IP address is kept: a visitor is counted with a fingerprint computed from a key that changes every day and is then deleted, so that a visitor cannot be recognised from one day to the next. A random identifier is kept in your browser for as long as the tab is open. Details are kept for 90 days, daily totals for 25 months. Your browser's « Global Privacy Control » signal is respected.

YouTube videos

The films are hosted on YouTube (Google). Nothing is loaded from YouTube before you start a video and accept « External media ». The player then uses the privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com); YouTube may nevertheless process data about you, including outside Switzerland, under its own privacy policy.

Cookies and browser storage

• sd_consent: remembers your choices for 6 months (necessary).
• sd_admin: administration session, reserved for the site's publisher; never set for visitors.
• sd_sid: session identifier for audience measurement, only after consent; deleted when the tab is closed.

You can change your choices at any time with the « Cookie settings » link at the bottom of every page.

Technical logs

The server records the application's technical errors to keep it running properly. These logs do not contain the data entered in forms.

Your rights

You may at any time request access to, correction or deletion of data about you by writing to contact@sebastiendavid.ch. You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
